If you go over to the Ban Talai, ( I think this is correct), area you should be able to find several furniture factory shops. Scope out what you like, then go home and discus with the boss.

After you have agreed on what you want let her go and buy it on her own, she will possibly get a better price than you would,(this is of course provided she is a Thai).

We paid 19500 for a suite consisting of sofa, 2 easy chairs and a large glass topped coffee table, all made from water Hyacinth. This equates to 400 euro's and they delivered it straightaway.

There are also some wooden furniture manufacturers out on the San Kampang rd as well.

Good luck

The 2 main wood furniture factories in Sankamphaeng , Sudaluck & Tusnaporn way too expensive.

Found a good place just on left side of Borsang intersection (after turning left if coming from CM). Sorry can't remember name but good furniture for a reasonable price. Again sorry can't remember price as it was 4 yrs ago. They also have a shop in Ban Tawai market right hand row half way down.

Also bought from some of the shops on way to ban Tawai - before V Pack shipping - some of them not bad prices. But noticed generally in the last 2 years prices gone up a lot.

Also noticed being Thai doesn't help a lot on the price as they sell loads of stuff to people from BKK - prices often same as tourist price.

Try shopping around Ban Tawai including canal area and road between Hang Dong - Ban Tawai.

For knockdown stuff try the shops dotted around superhighway as well as Lotus etc.

For ultra cheap stuff try the place between bridge behind Prince Royal / CMIS and Sanamkila roundabout (right hand side after Gat Muang Mai intersection), tables @ a couple of hundred baht.

Try the 'Winner' stores. There's one on the Hang Dong road, the Mae Jo intersection and another just north of the city inside the superhighway. Got some good kit and some bidget options as well.
