Congratulations Samran :o

I am planning to once again resume my Thai studies....(returning to them for about the 4th time so far).....so it is highly likely that I will be in 'your' forum asking some daft questions in the near future! :D

Cheers

Congratulations Samran, I am sure you will be a great addition to the Mods team.

I am getting to the stage with my Thai where I too will soon be ready to ask daft questions! :o !

I don't come here often but anyway congrats Samran - choke dee :o

Well done Samran,

I for one, will appreciate your help whilst trying to learn Thai. :o O.K. I'll ask the first question for you to kindly answer. What Thai word or phrase is the best to use when congratulationing? :D

Mr BoJ

Thanks for the best wishes guys, I'll definetly do my best!

As for what to say when congradulating someone, I guess you could use:

ขอแสดงความยินดี

Khor sa-daeng khwaam yin-dee

Congrats Samran... I lurk around the Language forum from time to time... don't really have much to input though because my Thai is ... well.... feeble... :D

Saying that I have learned some new words and phrases..... which most of the time get me into trouble with my wife... :o

Anyway... chok dee

totster :D

Congratulations Samran;

For me Learning Thai is like giving up smoking, lots of good intentions but nothing ever happens.

Too much English spoken at home.

Add my congratulations to the list too Samran. :D

I too lurk from time to time in the Thai Language Forum, but the topics usually go way over my head... :D

I do however pick up some useful phrases sometimes... :D

I do wish you'd change your avatar though... :o

:D

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Ive been passed over again? :o Well done Mr Keating! :D

I liked the 'Midnight Oil' avatar even better.

Yoot,

No, that’s not me, it’s the former Australian Prime Minister, Paul Keating. He was very confident and very creative with the use of the English Language. He also loves Bangkok's 'raffish charm' so I read, so he can't be such a bad guy!

Some people loved him, many didn’t, but I didn’t think he was too bad, especially compared with the guy who is running the country now! But enough การเมือง lest I steal Boon Mee’s thunder! :o

I am sure though Yoot, you are the real อาจารย์ใหญ่ around here!

Sometimes I feel like a นักโทษ การเมือง around here, K. Samran! :D

With regard to former Australian Prime Minister, Paul Keating, may I use the expression

A somewhat politically correct way of putting it.

Cheers,

hehe good one.

But are you a political prisoner, or a prisoner of your politics? :o

Perhaps I can put it that
