Thai Post -- Cod From Phuket

Hi sorry if this is an obvious answer.. but I would like to send something to someone here COD.

1. Do they have to go to the post office or will the mail carrier be able to bill them

2. What are the risk to me? If they never pick it up does the PO send it back

3. HOw do I collect the money from the PO

4. and if the recipient never comes to collect it how do I get it back?

I ordered something once COD and was sort of amazed.. but not sure how it all works as the sender.

I have never heard of a post office handling COD although they may do.

Best way is to ask at the post office.

You can't do it. Or should I say could not do it when I tried. Either he trusts you and pays you before you send the item or you send the item and he pays you when he receives it. I trusted the guy with 12,000 baht for some tools and he paid as soon as he got them. I did though have a company phone number and address not just a Thai mobile.

I have absolutely received COD in Thailand as the buyer..

No idea how it works as a seller tho.
