    Jeez DB, you are becoming the flash back king. As soon as I saw that album cover and heard the opening bars I was transported back to Bristol in the late seventies.Yet I have not heard this album or even thought about it in over 20 years. The power of the senses.

    A couple of years ago I was driving our pick up in Issan and suddenly I  smelt the gorgeous fragrance of a particular type of wood burning from off the road somewhere- it was the same smell I remember as a kid in Africa- it took me straight back to that long and dusty road near Kano in north Nigeria as a 6 year old.

    This takes me back to cycling the roads of Rutland county near Oakham in 1970 with school friends. Lots of gentle hills and fun bends.
