I need to use a private domain name [presently I use hotmail] with minimum of 5-10 GB space and 5 email accounts.

Should be able to send/download emails from Outlook Express.

Planning to design a small personal website as well. [From Dreamweaver MX]

What is the cheaper and a good Company I can find in Thailand for this?

Don't host in Thailand, it's too expensive and has bandwidth limitations.

I can recommend http://www.cablan.net for web hosting and email addresses.

I guess that you are talking about 5-10MB ... :o

bandwith limitation of 1000mb/month ...

up to more ... sure, but expensive :D

if you search by yourself, check the price and the type of server they use, and make sure that you have a pop3 access to get your email with your mail-program.

make sure also, that it is email addresses and not "aliases" like a lot of them do for a cheap price B)

sorry, George .. but this site (cablan) is so Sslooowww B)

Can anybody give a difinite (or in there opinion) where is a good, uncomplicated, english speaking (and understanding) company that can register a Domain Name and maintain the necessary paperwork.

I used Network Solutions (I know they are US based) for registration and a local ISP for hosting when I was in Australia and could probably do again with a new domain name, but since I am in Thailand I would kind of prefer someone in the same time zone to look after the registration.

Presently I do not have any web hosting requirements but that will probably change in the next 6 months or so and I would like to have the domain hosted somewhere that could later provide the web hosting.

So far this discussion has been about what NOT to do. What is everyong else doing/using as far as registration and hosting goes?

Am i missing something here?

Without local hosting, how am are suggesting I send and receive emails? Which is my most immediate concern.

Like I said in my original post, I may well need web hosting later, but rihgt now it isn't overly important.

Any other suggestions?
