Problem with Chrome and Firefox (TOT). My guess is that some idiot has posted something nasty about the King and thus this is the response... You get get to your profile and by using certain links there you can get in to the feed but if you use HOME of Facebook, you'll be redirected...

same here yesterday Thailand was Censoring FaceBook

It seems that Thailand is censoring some parts of Facebook today, each time I try to go back to Facebook using the “Home” (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home) link, from playing Farmville I get redirected to http://w3.mict.go.th/ and each time I receive:

—————————————

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://w3.mict.go.th/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

—————————————-

So either they have problems or they cannot handle the re-direct traffic.

I spoke too soon above as I was in the middle of playing cafe world, using Firefox, when I got locked out but I have it partially open using IE. Can play but it does not download all the components.

Still being censored, when using the "Home" button, this time from "FrontierVille"

Have you tried it using IE?

I heard people complaining for 2 days I had no problems. Now this morning (in CM using CAT cable) I get the same message when I click home on FB. If I click my bookmark for sign in its fine, but I cannot click the home tab with any success.

Using IE I just tried going from the game to Home & got the website blocked message. What a c.... up. How do you get a VPN?

VPN allows you to surf the Internet securely and with no Government controls. More information can be <snip>

Able to access all parts of the site except the 'Home' (whether through bookmark or links in Facebook).

CAT (cable) Chiang Mai.

edit: I can access the 'Home' just by going straight to the URL www.facebook.com

Right, except it is illegal in some cases...

Definitely being censored off and on somehow. Other friends from around Thailand are running into this problem when clicking within Facebook.

Seems to be OK so far this morning. I wonder if it was linked to the torrent problem.

Able to access all parts of the site except the 'Home' (whether through bookmark or links in Facebook).

Instead of the "Home" link, click on the Facebook Logo, the Home link is still not working for me

No problems whatsoever accessing all areas of FB with 3BB.

A government block would affect all ISP's, yes?

All back up and running. Yesterday was redirecting to the page I only see when I'm looking for other things.

guys, they definitely try to block it, but they made a mistake so it is not totally blocked.

By the way, you should stop writing here about it as I'm totally sure this is where they come to watch how foreign people react and if they did well.

I maybe was ok for the torrent blocking 2 days ago at the beginning, but I forgot about TV shows and soccer games we can't have in another way than p2p systems. And I hope it will not start to be big blackout on facebook, youtube, myspace etc... like in China, because it will a lot of disappointment....

FB and many other websites are quasi-blocked by True. They re-direct to the True social network page. I have found that it happens mostly when I include links in my posting on a forum. If I remove the link it works fine. I can then edit the post and re-insert the links.

Facebook is just a lost cause, usually works if I try a different browser though. Once it stayed blocked for a few days.

I don't think this is censorship so much as them trying to steal social-networking type traffic.

... usually works if I try a different browser...

Hmmm This tells me True are not the bad guys here...

Right, except it is illegal in some cases...

...and therefore not to be discussed around here! B)
