PATTAYA: -- Thursday 12th August was Mothers Day here in Thailand, where the entire Kingdom celebrates the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirigit’s birthday. As part of the formal celebrations for this event, in the grounds of Banglamung City Hall, Khun Mongkol, the Chief of Banglamung District led an early morning ceremony which was attended by nine Buddhist Monks who began with a short religious ceremony. All this in front of a 5 meter high portrait of Her Majesty.
