seeking a comfy bus south from hua hin to phuket. with heaps of luggage to stow. best option? figuring mini vans are out due to baggage.

Good question, would like to know and about trains as well, I don't think there is any mini vans as it's too far. I need to go on 27th and I've heard sleeper train then bus is the best option, but not looked into the details.

No luggage for us, only going for 3 days.
