Thousands attend the Pattaya International Fireworks Competition

PATTAYA: -- The much-anticipated Pattaya International Fireworks Competition took place at the weekend and thousands converged on Pattaya to enjoy the show. It is thought that around 20,000 individual fireworks were launched into the sky from floating barges along Pattaya Beach. The event was held to honor the 78th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen and was opened by General Prawit, the Minister of Defense and Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya. Many enjoyed the fireworks from restaurants located along Pattaya Beach and Walking Street and hundreds made their way to the Pattaya Viewpoint on Pratamnuk Mountain.
