Still Running Os 9 Plus Some Programing Knowledge?

Featured Replies

Someone who still has OS 9 ?

PROBLEM=

Databank Cummulus 5 was running on OS 9, however read only.

Neglected to update.

Rep of Cummulus tried to run it on Cummulus 8 / OX, no luck. Mat be a data transfer problem , 110MB to Germany.

Purose was filing some 25.000 photos for archiving and locating only. Meaning the actual photo was scanned a very low resolution,

This is what I remember , didn't use it for many years but it still worked at least for searches.

The structur was simple.

Scanner= Fuji FV 10 video scanner, i.e scans only about 50kb/photo

Cummulus 5 + FileMaker was used to program,

All data were recorded in 1 field only,no other fields were used.

Structure was simple

file number/ year/ location/ other info like model names

the file number was given automatically with each new scan

Each category start with a new set of numbers, example

FASHION 1000-5000

PERSONAL 5001-7000

NEW YORK 10.000- 15.000

ARCHITECTURE 16.000- 17.000

Work flow=

scan new photo, click on NEW YORK, file No 10000-15000 is automatically given, add manually other info, such as model, location ,

ENTER

This way it was very easy to find any given photo with a simple search

Now I am looking for someone who is willing to give it a try to get the data bank running again. Read only is enough.
