September 13, 201015 yr How long would it take to build a shophouse of one floor, with the mezzanine, 5 by 16 metres ? Does anyone got this experience? What the estimate for the material would be?
September 13, 201015 yr 2-24 months depending on the builder materials depending on design, meters of walls, numbers of doors and windows, choise of quality, 400.000 baht to 1,2 million baht would be normal
September 13, 201015 yr Author Thank you for your reply. We build in Cambodia and currently it's over 10.000 USD with first floor almost competed (unfinished). We were wondering whether we're OK. In Cambodia the average shophouse design is the same for all houses with something like this Uploaded with ImageShack.us The insides are all the same with the same kind of glazed tiles, I see them used in Thai houses quite a lot too, metal bars on the windows, doors. The house on the left should be about 16 meters long. This is the stage how would our house look like, just without the second floor. There of course must be differences in price of building materials in Thailand and Cambodia but how much cement and how much metal bars would this house demand? Let's say simpler how much cement and steel bars would one pillar use? So I can estimate the whole structure. And how much cement needed for the bricklaying and plastering?
