'How do you spell passionflower'

ดอกเสาวรส dawk sao wa roht

Passionfruit is readily available in the Phurua area of Thailand (near Loei, a northeastern province). I searched google (Thai) to see if anyone sells the flowers (dried, as tea/medicine/herb etc). Passionfruit powder (ผงดอกเสาวรส) is available from greatasia.co.th/powder_products_th.html (add the www.) but I can't vouch for the quality of their product.

Although I didn't see the product available at this site, you might want to give them a call. They've got just about everything but....

If you have a home in Pattaya with a yard/trees, you should grow it yourself and pick the flowers yourself. They're beautiful, fragrant, and abundant. Passionfruit is easy to grow....but since it's a vine, they like to grow near trees.

I've just been given some passionfruit by a friend up the road. They are as big as oranges, and taste delicious - not too sweet. They are not tart/sour?? either, as they are in Oz. They grow everywhere here (Nakhon Sawan). I haven't seen anyone selling for frying, the flowers as they do with pumpkin flowers, but we're going to grow some on the fences, for the fragrance.
