bryan ferry - let's stick together

:D

That sounds like a rip off of Al Green's Let's Stay Together. :D

No it's not!

Okay then. :D I still think the titles are awful close. :o When did Ferry release his song?

'Let's stick together' was written and recorded by Wilbert Harrison in 1962. Ferry's is a cover version.

cream ,

the albert hall reunion concert may/june 2005

clapton ,bruce and baker.

what a trio , blues rock just doesnt get any better than this.

That would be good, tax. For British blues my all-time favorite has to be Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac. Green could arguably be considered the best guitarist to come out of Britain ever, period. I had the pleasure of seeing him with Splinter Group in one of the best venues in Chicago. Small, excellent acoustics and with lounge seating/cocktail tables. Not once but twice. Second time he was billed with John Mayall. Unfortunately, and unbelievabley IMO, they did not play together. On a tip I learned that Green and the band came out to chat after the show, but not too many knew. Ah, well - or should I say, Oh, Well.

Edit: Almost forgot - Jethro Tull - This Was - Cat's Squirrel ('68)

i also saw green play , as fleetwood mac in the early days.

used to go and see john mayall whenever i could too , but never saw him with clapton. jethro tull too , a great showman.

clapton , for me , is best when playing the blues loud and nasty , when he is given (or takes) the opportunity to get into long solos. he just closes his eyes , lifts his head and pulls phrase after phrase out of his guitar without ever losing his way , if you like that kind of playing then try and get a dvd copy of the cream re-union show , its on sale at all the dvd market stalls , and its a double dvd issue.

two hours of music ,interviews with the trio , extra tracks and an hour of audio tracks etc.

pure joy.

Thanks, tax. :o I can only say I envy you if you've seen Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac back when. Try the 3-disc set of Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston recorded just after New Year's 1970. post-13265-1145245719.jpg Never got released due to Peter Green leaving just a few months later.
