DonaldBattles Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Joel: This was an outstanding article. Thanks for sharing it. Don
Joel Barlow Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Comment much appreciated - thanks, Don! There are many stories of Khun Sa's ups and downs, and of meetings by Farang with him, but I saw little reason to include them. In one of the most famous, he lost a huge mule train of opium in a three-way battle. In another, perhaps apocryphal, he shot his barber for giving him a bad haircut. I found Khun Tip's obvious admiration for him quite interesting, as she's too young to have had any personal memories related to him!
sceadugenga Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Last months interview with the shaman was very inteesting as well.
