Sucks when you have to sell your pride and joy, if you don't mind me asking why is it up for sale, looks tidy and would be a keeper for sure.

I saw a two HQ Monaros in a workshop on Sumui, they were busy cutting the roofs off to make them convertables. What a crime.

There lots of classic cars in Thailand, also lots of old bangers..

Some places here have classic cars shows and events..

As for Classic Cars driven around daily maybe depends where you live..?

There are around where I live lots I see daily + some which are old and rare.. No idea about American Cars but there are at least 10 different old one on the road 50's to about early 70's

Often see Black & Red A35 Van, Green Hillan Husky, Green Capri, 3 different Volvo PV444, 2 different Volvo 121, Green Morris Oxford, Dark Brown Rover 2000TC, Blue Triumph 2.5TC + a red TR6, Blue Citroen DS21, very old black 190 Benz. Rare Light Blue NSU RO80.. Blue + a Black Morris 1000.... are 1960's classed as classics ? there is a number of old Minis, Beatles, Fiats, Benz & Rolls about.

Sometimes on the main road see lots of Vintage + Classics, most driven some on trailers so must be going to some show or event somewhere.

Rare Classic For Sale last month @ 12.5 million

Edit: Next to a friends house in Bangkok they have a 1960 Armstrong Siddeley Star in Green... I used to own 2 of them years ago so was interested and went to find out more about this one.

The classic car in Thailand is declared a classic by the owner, my Vigo is 5 years and l declare it as a classic 1,000,000 bht O.V.N.O. please.

The Antique Automobile Club of America defines an antique car as 45 years old or older and a Classic car as 20 to 45 years old.

The HM Revenue & Customs of the UK define a classic car for company taxation purposes as being over 20 years old and having a value in excess of £15,000.

In the UK the Modern Classic definition is open to the discretion anywhere from 15–20 years often by Insurance Brokers and Insurance Companies who regard a Modern Classic as a vehicle that is considered collectible regardless of age. :jap:

Speaking of the car/motorcycle market at Ladprao: it seems to have had a fence thrown up around it in the last couple of weeks, apparently (yet another) condo project.

Does anyone know if it is still ongoing, i.e., moved, and if so, where?

Have you seen anything they have actually done tho ?? Meaning built not made in cgi ??

Couple of very doggy looking old things, a VW with tractor wheels..

Thailand has cheap labour and even tho hard to find does have some people with skills to do custom work.. You would think that this would allow for a real bit of hot rod building.. But I have yet to see any pics.

Says 'It has a Toyota 1800cc 16 valve engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI)'

Likewise around the same year I know of 3 different Triumphs driving around a Green 2000 + Blue 2500TC + a white one, all Mk 2 + all have Toyota engines... + a Brown Rover 2000, all in daily use

But Do they come under Classic Cars ?

Sure the green Hillman Husky and Red & Black Austin A30 Van driven around daily as are much older 1950's
