Shot Pattaya Sting Op. Suspects Denied Medical Treatment

PATTAYA: -- A detained sting op. suspect’s wife complained to press that her husband and his friend had been denied medical treatment after being shot and injured in a crash while trying to escape.

Pattaya, 7 November 2010, [PDN]: Two injured drug suspects were apparently held from 6pm, Nov6, at a Banglamung police station after being shot during their arrest, but had not been sent to hospital to have their wounds treated. This information was relayed to a Pattaya reporter at 12.10am the following morning by one of the suspect’s wife, who accompanied her to the remand centre to investigate.

UPDATE

Banglamung District Narcotics Unit under investigation following weekend drug operation

PATTAYA: Two drug dealing suspects were apparently denied access to medical care after they were caught by Banglamung District Anti-Narcotics Unit officers late on Saturday Night. Local journalists were made aware of the case by Khun Siriporn aged 25 who claimed her Husband and his friend were being detained by the unit in connection with an undercover operation which ended in a shooting incident whereby both suspects sustained injuries.

Very droll, this is one of the the reasons nobody will ever be extradited to Thailand from a western country.
