 The Navarra is hardly an on road vehicle never mind off road claims., with just 45K kms on the clock, I now have to replace my clutch for the second time, the first one went at 35K kms. I am using an independent garage because I do not trust the workmanship at Nissan Surat Thani any more. When I called to ask if the truck was still under warranty and was the second clutch under warranty also, they cut my call off. So next week prepare to see a lonely protestor outside the Nissan showroom at Surat Thani with large signs ! Channel 3 has been invited.

Crusty I think your statement is miss leading the navara 4X4 is ok for off road you only have a clutch problem. Now you let an independent garage fix it so don't expect any warranty from Nissan or any response.

Correct me if l am wrong but It reminds me of the troubles with the Fortuna when it came out, not too sure but Toyota fitted inferior front brake disc's instead of the Vigo's excellent commercial truck type and on the Fortuna they turned out to be crap.

Hanging up the phone?????

Yet another example of Thailand's fine customer service policies!!!!!!!

THe Navara 4x4 is no way an OFF road vehicle - check the manufacturers suggestions for 4WD.

Getting it serviced at an approved garage not necessarily a dealer is OK

however I think you might have mis-handled this a bit.

Get hold of Nissan HQ - Thailand - they should have a team of "flying mechanics" who will do a semi-independent check on any work carried out on your vehicle. You can choose where this is done (up to a point).

They ca then try to ascertain the cause of the repeated clutch failure.

PS - I presum you are fmiliar with driving a manual transmission and clutch and haven't been abusing the system - on or off road?
