Letter For Visit Visa

Hi Guys

Me and G/f are nearly ready to submit our application for UK visit visa, I just have a few remaining questions which I'd be grateful for any help with.

1, The letter from her employer, does it need to say that when she returns from the UK she will have her job back with no problems ect..

Or, is it like a testiment of character saying she would not break any laws and will return to LOS etc..?

2, I know the waiting times for VV are either granted sameday or you are told to come back 3-4 days later for short/full interview. I know this all assuming documentation is present and correct. Is this still the case? Has anybody recently applied/been granted VV for UK. It's just that we are applying when I go back to LOS for 2 week holiday, and hoping that G/f will be able to fly back with me!

The letter from your g/f's employer should state what job she does, what her salary is, for how long she has been working for the company and the date she is expected to return to work.

If a full interview is required, the waiting time may be longer than a few days. It may be as much as 6-7 weeks depending upon the current waiting list.

I've just checked on the UK Visas' site, and the waiting time for visit visa interviews as of 31 July is 99 working days.

Shit! Is that if they need to do a short interview or full interview? I was hoping we would be granted same day or after a short interview. I'm quite confident we have a good case just a couple of things we need to sort.
