Any suggestions for Thai vegetarian restaurants in Ubon?

I've lived in Thailand a long time and know what I can eat and order from regular places. Just checking to see if Ubon has any 100% vegetarian curry on rice (or tofu larb with sticky rice) type places?

Thanks!

They do. One is a huge indoor/outdoor buffet establishment called Boon Ni Yon Uthayan. Very good. Was also once taken to a small place in town that served some of the best veg food I had ever had in Thailand, though I don't remember the name of that, so best bet is to go to the big one and ask there for other veg places in and around town.

It is on the corner of Srinarong Road and Thapyothi Road.

Along the road from the main post office away from Tung Sri Muang.

Past the Krung Thong Hotel.

Run by Chamlong Sri Muang's buddhist sect.Closed on Mondays.

Make a nice brown bread loaf, about size of a small Hovis for 20 baht.

Every time I hear or see Chamlong ranting about his view of what Thailand should be like I'm disturbed.......

But what a great resource he/they have created in the vegetarian food center/farms/market/etc.

That was really good food, prepared and sold by really nice people. Give it a try sometime!

Also it closes at 1pm or 2pm, so not available for dinner.

There are two more that I have seen but not tried. One is near Mazda, on the road from Chayangkun to the clock tower. The other is near the Chinese School in old Ubon, not far from the river.

Bon appetit.
