very bizarre...bought this laptop brand new, original windows and all, but I cannot activate/find the Bluetooth! According to the specs, it has Bluetooth, but it cannot be found in the Device Manager or anywhere else.

Any advise?

On my 4736z it is the fourth from the top button on the right side (just below Wi-Fi) and above the + - Vol control.

Edit: and can confirm it does not appear anywhere until pressed - I went searching for it the other day.

Hi Raro,

Try pressing the 'function" (fn) key and then F3 at the same time. A window should pop up and you can turn on the Bluetooth from there.

Cheers, Rick

That also does it. Lights the blue light on my button but no pop up window. But adds the function to taskbar.

That's true Lop. Mine is a different model and I had the same problem trying to find BT. It took me ages to find but the above works though.

thanks a lot guys! That one did the trick!

Funny, the symbol on the F3 button is an antenna which I would relate to WiFi...no Bluetooth symbol anywhere to be seen. Duuhhhhh
