On Monday I took my wife to Khon Kaen to renew her passport. I had read on this forum about a restaurant which is about 56 klms from Udon. We found the restaurant which is called "Orr Pla Pau" situated at Klm post 59 going south and Klm post 57 as you drive north from Khon Kaen. I recommend this place to everyone who might fancy a bite to eat. Thai and English food. Also a lovely wine. The guy who runs the place is called Alan. It's worth a visit and it's not expensive.
