Or Skype/Voipstunt/Cheapvoip (CV is usual cheaper then the rest) easy when you have a laptop/netbook in combination with a 3G mobile router or Aircard for Thailand. Your Phil SIM e.g. SMART you can set to roaming at the airport, so you Phil connections can text you for free. One of my Phil connections is currently working in Dubai and I can call for normal rate to her roamed Phils SIM, she does not have to pay anything.
