Email Problems

Featured Replies

I've been having problems opening my email accounts, hot mail, gmail, and yahoo,, when I try to open account,a message from these accounts ask me to verify request for new password,,,I have never requested any new password,

I never use unsecured wifi or Internet cafe, I have a PC in Thai ,and a PC in the UK, I have full Norton security on,and no spy ware or any other virus has been detected,

would it be possible a spy ware thing has been sent to my PC,or some idiot has been trying to gain access to my emails,

and now my email account has been closed, for entering wrong password to many times,

I'm not an expert and other may have better idea/s but personally I would remove that Norton completely and go for (100%free) Avast Antivirus instead. It seems Norton has more or less taken over your PC. Avast is the best antivirus, from Norton I hear only bad stories. That Norton sees no spyware etc. does not mean there is no spyware or malware, keylogger etc. Because it's the same with all your mail account it really looks like someone else then you had access to it.

Pretty annoying the password trouble. Are you 100% sure you did not give your passwords to other people ?

Success.

That's what you have a security question for ! 'what street I grew up', 'brand of my first car' etc. typical questions of which you can't forget the answer. Should be no problem.

How about the list of stored passwords on your system ? Did you give someone access to your system, for use or for repair ? Even if you don't give passwords, someone can simply view your list of passwords via 'extra's > options > security > show passwords' (in firefox)

Did you have someone stay with you before the trouble started, a bargirl or girlfriend etc. ? Not my business, but I don't think someone got your pw's by guessing.

Did you got any phishing mails recently ? This are 'fake' emails where they ask for your passwords or banking details. Did you allow any social sites or applications to access to your contacts lists to 'search for friends' or 'invite friends' ?

Looks like you've upset the missus.

bar girls nothing against b/g but no,g/f would kill me,or her gun totting police relative would,no serious ive never given out pass word,, I did say I have a lap top in Thai, its there for the use of a little rental bed sits we have, the girl who looks after the building has use of it for logging customers dates and so on,and of cores for her own personal use, here may be the culprit,,Jim not one for accusing anybody with out facts so I cant approach her about it, if some one knows my pass word they would log in read maybe delete read message,,I would know,,but to have to verify I have asked for a new pass word, and its been blocked due to entering wrong pass word to many times, suggests some one is guessing at pass word

now I never knew or would know how to ret rive pass words from a PC,,,how in plan English would I do this,,many thanks
