HDR--- thanks for bringing this up! It is a short-term solution while I wait on internet to be installed at my new house (within range of one of my offices with a booster -- and if not then I will add an outdoor antenna to the office too ;)

Hope it works out for you. If not I found the access point is more crucial than the adapter, I have used a D-Link 655N in several sites which has given me excellent range and performance over the last 2 years and I think it's still available. Not sure if that the AP is your issue but would be interested to hear how you get on with the Buffalo WLI-UC-GNHP as I have a coulpe of laptops that could do with an wireless N upgrade.
