I spend 2 months in Thailand every year. Got tired of roaming bills.

Usage details:

Calls: local+inter

SMS: local+inter

GPRS: a must

Roaming outside Thailand: not needed

Which prepaid GSM card can you recommend?

Many thanks in advance!

P.S. Used "Search" but haven't found an answer.

Off topic but I have to mention it..

Was up in my GF's village the other day, (have one2call) no network for telephone calls but full GPRS coverage :o

I could not make a call to the next house but easily send an email to him from my phone. How is this possible? :D

I use DTAC happy D prompt? prepaid, its expensive. it cost me 5 bath every minute for local call.

I saw my thai friends talking forever on mobile phones ... im thinking their monthly mobile phone bill might be like 5000 bath.

Once i phoned to DTAC call center they said its expensive because its baby SIM blah blah blah i dont know what baby SIM is :o

BabySIM is for people who prefer longer 'airtime' period in exchange for more expensive calls. In other words, for people who rarely make calls.

I think you can change to a more suitable tariff by dialling *1003

Then, you can join your friends in paying much lower rates.
