I'm not sure this question makes any sense what so ever.

Air-card is just a usb eneabled devise that allows you to access the internet and you can buy many different kinds like 1G, 2G, 3G up to 7G. so the package you buy determines the internet speed.

TV Dream box is just a device that you plug into your cable connection in your room to your note-book so you can watch TV on your computer screen.

Am I wrong here? Dream boxes and laptops are not powered by an aircard.

I agree, the Dreambox can be connected to a local network via a LAN cable

to receive sw updates from the Internet etc.

The link does not have to be that fast, so the aircard on a laptop should be fine.

Is that what you had in mind?

My friend living out in the sticks doesnt have a phone line, otherwise i would not have asked this question !!!
