Thai on Thai hits don`t make the international headlines so locals can rest easy. Surely locals read and hear all about this and this forum spreads the news among the active visitors. "Just an other day at the office" would someone say that has seen locals shot in discotheques over the past 2 decades or even passed a dud grenade. As long as casualties are local Thais, even local mafia know, that there`s not too much fuzz that could do more than upset local farang population for awhile.

Tourists rarely hear about this stuff. It`s a country and a place you`re visiting - not ruling (would be the message).

Shoot a tourist and no one on the island likes it PLUS it makes some serious headlines around and locals shooting each other know this.
