Hi all,

Anyone know of any English language radio stations available nationally.

I'm actually located in Saraburi but travel frequently to both Bangkok and Korat.

Cheers,

Depends on what you're looking for...and how to receive...

A ton of English language radio over the Internet... not so much over the air radio in English...

And, do you mean English language radio ABOUT THAILAND. Or English language radio in general like music, etc?

Hi,

I was looking for English language radio in-car. Just general radio with a bit of music and news.

I'm not big into music and the few CD's I have become a bit monotonous after some time.

It's just something in the background while on the road really.

Many thanks.

Sounds like Wave 88.0 FM would fit the bill... English speaking announcers and music...

107 FM supposedly also has some English language content, though I'm not sure how much.

Saraburi is out of reach of 88.0, 103.0 and 107.0

you might find 105.5 OK, English music but Thai 'dj's'

AM you have some more options but an even more lousy quality

I suggest download a webradio player and listen to all stations world wide

Spider Player - Free skinnable audio player which lets you find, play and record Internet radio streams, play music from your PC, rip CDs, convert audio ...

spider-player.com

Eventually you can mail-order a stand alone webradio player or 'squeezebox' that does not need the PC but direct connect with the router. Starting $60 for a very good one.

Hi, Is it possible to get BBC radio on these systems ? I particularly miss the comedy radio shows that the BBC does so well.

Every Radio Station with a webversion, that uses an .M3U or .pls stream (there few others) you can enter to the directory of the squeezebox. Here are some references where you can obtain free radio stream url's:

The Icecast Index

The Shoutcast Index

Digitally Imported

Listen Live (europe)

US Liveradio (us of a)

Canadian Webradio

Australian Live Radio

NZ Radioguide (new zealand)

IPhoneclub (netherlands, belgium)

Shoutcast Streams (netherlands, belgium radio, tv).

Also you can google "BBC Radio .pls" or "BBC Radio .M3U"

E.g. this is the stream of BBC Radio 2: http://dir.xiph.org/...8712/listen.m3u you can open/.play it with several programs like WMP or radioplayers, or add te URL to the squeezebox.

Why not get it direct from BBC iPlayer? The radio programs are not geographically restricted like the TV.

I listen mostly to Radio 4 and 7 for comedy and documentaries.

If you want to download and listen offline to radio programs you can do so with get_iplayer but this, for some reason, requires a UK IP (i.e. VPN).
