Their cost basis is about 40 cents per DVD, when manufactured in China, despite what they like to tell you. So, if they charged say $9.00 retail, for a dvd, there would be a greater quantity sold, and the consumer would not feel so ripped off. Who is going to spend $15 to $30 on a dvd? Why? How many times will you need to watch it, before you feel as if you got your money's worth? And why is the quality of the dvd copies in Thailand so poor? It is better in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. How do the Thais get it so wrong? How inferior is their equipment? Even at 100 baht, the price is still too high, when you take into account how inferior the product is.
