Featured Replies

Hi

Im looking for "Chinese 5 Spices" jar or packet of.... looked in Villa Market and they have everything but.

Anyone know of any stores that sell Chinese stuff?

many thanks... roc634

is Chinatown sort of where the day market is? Didn't know we had a chinatown here... and thanks for the translation!

Thought the closest chinatown was BKK, where is it?

Its the Soi that runs parallel with the Soi that takes you to the Mini Bus station behind the Yamaha Garage.

There is a Soi connecting Yaowarat Road and Chaloen Krung Road named Yaowarat Soi 8 or Chaloen Krung Soi 14, It's a fresh market selling many Chinese food materials.

Just came back from Tops. There are several kinds of FIVE SPICE POWDER on the shelves. I think it's a kind of common condiment in Thailand. Tell the staff you need "ผงพะโล้".

roc634,

The op is asking about Hua Hin as this is a Hua Hin/Cha-Am forum. I believe the answers you are giving are Bangkok locations.

You can get 5 spice powder in most Thai supermarkets where the sauces and mixes are. Tesco has it for sure. Just look in the BBQ sauce mix, green curry mix, red pork mix area etc. :D

Makro Pranburi have big bags for 79Baht...its near the fresh fish counter
