Own property (wife does) in Thailand - to reloate back ASAP! :o

Why the '(no children)' bit. Can't we be married to a Thai, living outside of Thailand, and have kids too? - Ignored the '(no children)' bit, and voted ... er, bit obvious now.

married with thai no children would like to assume thai citizenship one day (not nationality)

Boo,

don't 'they' call taking citizenship as 'Nationalisation'. Aren't you becoming a Thai National by beoming a Thai Citizen? Or do you mean you will not give up your British Citizenship and take lone Thai Citizenship ?

- I'm not taking the p*ss, its a serious question.

Thailand is my favorite vacation place.

Simple as that.

:o

I live and work here.(also got a missus) Whats your relationship with LOS TM?

Married to a Thai for seven years and we have a 6 year old son.

Have farm (wife has), family and other animals near Sukkothai.

Visit for at least a month every year.

wolf, I meant that I wouldn't want to be a thai born person but would like to eventually get citizenship as my husband is going through the process of getting british citizenship & think it is only fair considering our children & him will have dual nationality & I will always be considered an alien in LOS :o Its something that bothers me greatly & one of the main reasons I am reluctant to return full time to LOS until he (hubby) has obtained all the relevant info & details of how we can go about it. I'm sure it's something that bothers a lot of spouces of thai's, particually if you have children :D (or are planning to like me :D )

I live with my Thai partner and children in Thailand

I am in Thailand because of the cheap booze.

I have been living in Thailand for more than 5 years.

I came initially because iof the cheap booze and availability of pharmaceutical drugs. Noone belives that now :o

Thailand is my home now. :D

I am married to a Thai, and I have a lovely step daughter, I spend half the year living in Thailand with them.

totster :o

Seems like the most common relationship to Thailand that most everyone here seem to have is that they have a Thai spouse...

Stretching statistical analysis a bit, concluding on the basis of 14 answers out of 21,500+ members, don't you think?

A 0.07% response?

Ahem....

The people that posted on this thread so far.... :o

My situation wasn't covered by the poll, and the other options didn't come close... so null vote for me. :o

I choose to live and work in Thailand, and it just happens that I have found a Thai to marry as well.

:D

Too bad one can't choose multiple reasons in this poll.... Me being a single guy and all.... :D:o

I am retired here. I chose Thailand because it has been my favorite vacation spot for at least 20 years. I happen to have a Thai partner and am living in Korat with her and her daughter.

It's a good life and I'm happy with my decision to be here.

Marking this date on my calendar....

TM has started a Thai-related thread...  :o

Shit you're right John... :D

I didn't even realize he was the OP... :D

My wife is Thai and is, hopefully, coming to the UK next month. If she likes it here, we will holiday in Thailand for 3 or 4 months per year. If she doesn't, we will live in Thailand and i will holiday in the UK, every now and again :o

Sorry TM, 13 options and I NULL vote!

You could explain.

1) I am Thai or part Thai.

Nope!

2) Thailand is my favourite vacation place.

Nope, I enjoy returning to the UK, albeit very rarely.

3) I have to be in Thailand because of my job

Nope! I could work elsewhere.

4) Thailand is the only place where I can feel sexually free.

Nope!

5) Thailand allows me to remain relatively sexually satisfied.

Nope! I think I could get my kicks elsewhere.

6) I am married to a Thai (no children)

Nope! Not any more.

7) My partner is Thai (no children)

Nope! I have no one particular partner right now.

8) I support a Thai family but live and work outside of Thailand

Nope!

9) I live with my Thai partner and children in Thailand

Nope!

10) If possible I would assume the Thai nationality

Nope! Maybe, just a slight maybe I may go for residency one day.

11) I am in Thailand because of the cheap booze

Nope!

12) I have been living in Thailand for more than 5 years

Well, I guess I could and should have ticked this box, however, it does not really say too much about my particular situation.

13) I have retired to Thailand

Nope!

Tommy you need about another 200 categories at least to cover all bases, I really hope we are not gonna go thru the poll fad again.
