The Elephant Houses On Canal Road

Recommended Posts

been wondering for a few years now - maybe one of you guys have the answers. What's with those three stone/wood houses that have elephant pictures or carvings on them - they're on the canal road, south of Suthep about 3 or 4 km, on the right hand side as you're going out of town. Where did they come from? Why is there just that cluster of three and then nothing else? Does anyone take care of them? They seem really interesting, but really out of place. Anyone know the story?
