Stand alone

Hate to add a sour note to this topic.

But I don't like that advert, it just so brimming of exploitation and hypocrisy. They weren't looking out for kids, they were drumming up business. It's plastic.

Back on topic. And sorry it's not music, but here is some genuine emotion:

I have a very important meeting tomorrow, and my front false tooth just fell out.

Which is why i am on my u toob mode...!!!

But they are still sad songs.

I have watched the whole life documentary of Christian the Lion and wasn't it wonderful?

They bought him in Harrods and let him loose and then he remembered them after a few years.

Brought a tear...

If i am not dumb, was that not the husband of the lady who wrote Born Free? George Adamson? at the beginning`? Her name was Joy Adamson. I loved that book all about Elsa...

Born Free

Well, me being the catty person that i am i found this. And i think it is rather tearful.

I don't know about songs but a movie scene that always makes me cry is in 'The Last Samurai' where Tom Cruise helps Ken Watanabe to commit sepuku and all of the Imperial Army bows in respect.

sorry wrong thingy

Love it love it love it...........

If I was to look at my son, and think of my dad at the same time and think of advice he didn't give me, and also simmultaneously think of a time past when I was cuckolded, and if this song was playing.....I reckon I'd get a bit misty.

Lyrics first:

Father

It's not time to make a change,

Just relax, take it easy.

You're still young, that's your fault,

There's so much you have to know.

Find a girl, settle down,

If you want you can marry.

Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy.

I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy,

To be calm when you've found something going on.

But take your time, think a lot,

Why, think of everything you've got.

For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not.

Son

How can I try to explain, when I do he turns away again.

It's always been the same, same old story.

From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen.

Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.

I know I have to go.

Father

It's not time to make a change,

Just sit down, take it slowly.

You're still young, that's your fault,

There's so much you have to go through.

Find a girl, settle down,

if you want you can marry.

Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy.

Son

All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside,

It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it.

If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them you know not me.

Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.

I know I have to go.

This is Cat live, but I quite like the latest version by him after he bacame Yousef.

Got my wee tearducts going,

Class never gets old................

And this

Cry with laughter...........She can sing

And this

Cry with laughter...........She can sing

Yeah she can sing.....but this BABE is sooooooo sweet, I think I'm in love.

Granted me old fish finger, a much "sweeter" version...........( not as talented, but sweeter )
