Wireless Systems

Featured Replies

Anybody have or had in the past wireless surround systems??? good? bad ? ugly? etc... any real life info much appreciated, as after searching for 2.1 and sound bars etc... it seems much better to go for full 5.1 - cheaper and better sound. BUt still wanna try to avoid cables as much as possible. I realise they will require either a power cable each, no problems for me or an interconnecting cable. I would just like to avoid the previous mountain of cables I had with my old system, but if i MUST i MUST!! :)

I have seen a top of the range Sony system, with wireless back speakers.

A very impressive set up.

Looks like a good system. One question though, as I have a dvd player and a media player would I need to buy an amplifier that has two or more hdmi inputs? If so any recommendations please?

Looks like this system may only have one.

I cant comment on the Sony system. However if the issue is the amount of HDMI ports, then you can buy a HDMI switching unit http://www.ehow.com/...hdmi-input.html which will enable you to connect multi inputs to only one output. I know the article makes reference to a TV however that is irrelevant . . .

Good luck

Thank you very much for this information. I will go to my local electrical store and see if they have the HDMI switch or can order one.

Until now I was not aware of a HDMI switch.

Most TVs and up market surround systems will have multiple HDMI inputs,

but I am not so sure about the cheaper models
