Moving Air Conditioners

Featured Replies

I installed two air conditioners in my rented home three years ago and I'm moving out and want to take them with me. What is the usual price for moving them and re-installing them in the new home?

Also what would be the price for fixing the holes leftin the wall, asitwill be deducted from my deposit?

Thanks for your help.

Perhaps you could check with whoever installed them. (?) Not sure there is a "usual price" but I would guess 2-3K baht would do it for both. But, the holes might be a bugger to get back to an original state. So, I guess the landlord doesn't want to keep them for a few Kbaht less than what you paid? If yoiu're in dispute, you may want to check the issues further before just doing it. Good luck.

1500 baht per air con unit, maybe up to 2000 if they think they are professional (and they may just be). Ensure that includes a thorough cleaning with proper equipment.

I would just offer 300 baht to fill the holes. The landlord will probably be shy to mention a price if asked and just leave it "up to you" anyway. That is quite generous as he will just wait till an aquantance is doing some construction and 'scoop' a bucket of cement and fill it in himself when the time comes.
