Mae Sai Shopping List

Will be making a trip up from CM to Mae Sai and on my shopping list will be power cable for dreambox sat tv system. there used to be a vendor at the top of the hill on the covered walkway near the turn. Can anyone confirm if that shop is still there?? and/or maybe another shop that carries knockoff chineese sattelite electronics??

and another thing that I may be on the look out for are these E-cigarettes, as I'm sure the Chineese are knocking them off.....but I do wonder about the safety??

..I can confirm the shop is still there..well it was on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm!

I didn't see any eFags, but wasn't looking either. Same ole stuff..maybe on Myanmar side.

Is the border open? I saw on the news that the Burma government closed it the day after last week's earthquake to keep out reporters, aid workers, and other dangerous types.
