Can anyone give me an idea of the normal/usual turn around time for a 90 report by post please ? I know this will probably vary by office but I was wondering how long to allow before chasing it.

I sent it by Registered mail and I can see its been delivered and signed for on the tracking info but they havnt sent back the receipt yet.

I am probably worrying over nothing as with most things Thai it will probably get done when they are in the mood, but how long should I expect approximately ?

Over 9 years, I have averaged 3-7 working days to get the return receipt. (You DID send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, right?).

Whether you get the receipt or not, keep your EMS receipt, which has been accepted in at least three offices (Korat, BKK, Mukdahan) as proof of sending your 90-day report.

My actual date for reporting was 25th March, I sent it EMS on the 18th, it was signed for on the 21st, I Enclosed a stamp addressed envelope but have had nothing back yet.

Korat doesn't accept postal reports.

But they accepted my EMS receipt as proof that I had sent my report to BKK thus avoiding a 2,000-Baht fine. That was in the good old days when you could send your reports to BKK, not your local/closest immigration office.

It was generous of them to accept the EMS receipt as proof of a report sent. One could EMS an empty envelope and receive the same EMS receipt.

Yeah, I'm being cynical here, but the working truth is that I'm sure Immigrations has "seen it all," and many regulations and hoops through which we jump are based on others who have abused the system in the past.

Weight is noted, I believe. But it serves as proof of sending, immigration enteres in their logs that they recieved a letter from you. If empty, they can remark that it was empty.

Besides, why would one want to send an empty envelope and not go all the way?

Plus, you can trace the EMS online, and see an actual signature scan of whoever signed for your report at the immigration office (ideally).
