Today I received my 3 month single entry Non-Imm O visa. Intend to retire in LOS and take the route of non-imm O and after 2 month go for the one-year-extension on basis of retirement, age, money in the bank etc.

Seems to be the easiest way to achieve a “retirement visa” as usually suggested here.

However when I looked at my passport at the VISA it was stamped at the bottom of the page “no extension of stay geen verlenging van verblijf”

Now I get worried, does this mean that I can not get a one year extension of stay with this VISA or is this standard stamped underneath ?

Appreciate an answer from “those who know” Joop

Not sure of how to add a picture so a scan is here:

It is normal for a non immigrant visa stamp to alert you that the normal 30 day extension you may expect when using a tourist visa is not available. Should not be a problem for your extension of stay.

Thanks Lop for the fast answer, it is good to see that I do not have anything to worry about, as I quit the job and the house is sold I have passed the "point of no return" so thanks again, Joop :o

Just to back-up lopburi3 (who is always absolutely spot on with his advice).

Your 'no extension' stamp will be no problem, have one myself (from Cardiff), extension no trouble :o
