--is there such a thing like 9 months visa in penang?

--any chance to apply for 1 yr non emigrant visa in penang without any backup from thai company?

Have no idea what you expect to learn with a poll but assume you have misposted and are asking a question.

There is no such thing as a nine month visa anywhere/anyhow for Thailand. What can often be obtained is a 3 entry tourist visa if that is what your question is about and that should be available at Penang.

A multi entry non immigrant O visa valid for one year (90 day stays) is normally available for those married to a Thai at Penang. For those older than 50 with proof of 200k baht in a Thai bank account the same type of visa seems to be available.

The multi entry non immigrant B visa is sometimes available but currently has required more paperwork than previously.
