Do you own the house in the UK? If you do then surely you are maintaining a UK address but you might not be the the council tax payer as that would be the occupier. If I ever move to Thailand I don't intend to sell up and my son will be living in the house that I own. Whether I visit frequently as a tourist or fully go and live there I have no idea. But I am concerned with the current anti pensioner attitude of the Government they will be looking for any excuse to stop annual rises and stop access to the NHS. Anybody know what the current rules are to maintain getting the annual increases. I assume that you can't be classed as "living" in Thailand if you only ever enter visa exempt or on a tourist visa. -

The vendors typically rent the carts/stalls. What's the point in fining them? They don't have the money to pay and when they go away, a new sucker comes along to take their place. Like all criminal activity in Pattaya, the activity is linked to one of the crime syndicates that operates. They are everywhere; Extorting protection money, pimping, distributing drugs, trafficking women and children, and operating legitimate and money laundering businesses. They are well known to local authorities and are untouchable. -

The beaches were closed because of what people did there. The public consumption of alcohol and drugs, the rowdy behaviour by youth and yobs, and close contacts were the problem. Because people refused to behave responsibly and insisted on engaging in high risk behaviour, public health authorities were obliged to temporarily restrict public gatherings. People could still go outside to get their exercise and vitamin D. You are mistaken. Ivermectin was promoted as a cure all before there were any clinical trials. Its promotion defied commonsense and was based upon data that was often falsified or manipulated. (This has been repeatedly proven.) Covid 19 is an inflammatory illness caused by a virus. Ivermectin has been around for years and its mechanism of action was well documented. This mechanism has no known impact on viruses. The worst aspect of the Ivermectin nonsense is that it delayed the rollout of known low cost anti inflamatories because the promotion of the ineffective ivermectin eroded confidence in health research and medications. For reference sake; Ivermectin binds selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate muscle and nerve cells of the microfilaria. This binding causes an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions and results in hyperpolarization of the cell, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite. Ivermectin also is believed to act as an agonist of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), thereby disrupting GABA-mediated central nervous system (CNS) neurosynaptic transmission. Ivermectin may also impair normal intrauterine development of O. volvulus microfilariae and may inhibit their release from the uteri of gravid female worms. Much of the evidence for ivermectin in COVID-19 relied on pre-print in vitro data, and the clinical utility of the data was not proven. Due to a number of factors - for example, the relatively low number of patients per trial and the speed at which these trials were conducted - studies on the use of ivermectin in COVID-19 were characterized by statistical errors and accusations of plagiarism. In addition, the use of aggregate patient data in large-scale meta-analyses (as opposed to individual patient data (IPD)) was shown to disguise otherwise blatant data errors, such as extreme terminal digit bias and the duplication of blocks of patient records. Ivermectin was an illustration of what happens when unqualified people with financial self interests promote untried and untsted potions. The continued support of the ineffective Ivermectin demonstrates the refusal of the magical conspiracy promoters to consider actual scientific facts. they just can't accept that they are wrong and that their actions resulted in deaths. -

I did not until early this year. In the past when moving to and fro between France and Thailand, would change my registered address to correspond with where I was at the time. I.e. changed it twice every twelve months. Then the bank refused to allow me to have a Thai address. This became a problem when they sent me a new credit card to France which I was unable to receive. And they refused to send it to Thailand. So I had it sent to a half-brother's address in London, and he sent it on to me. I subsequently went on-line and cancelled that address, leaving only the French one, which I still have. However when earlier this year I needed another card, I re-instated the London address. And did not subsequently delete it. My brother and family have now moved, so I am going to have to change the address. Incidentally, I made no secret when speaking to the bank of the fact that I was not residing in the U.K. I would mention in passing that recently the bank has made it virtually impossible to use my credit card on-line. Which is when I have used it most. For on-line purchases I now have to use my UK debit card. When speaking to them they are unable to provide any reason for the repeated failure of on-line credit card transactions. I hope this answers your question.
