Phuket woman found hanged in Pa Khlok

PHUKET: -- Police are treating as suicide the death of a Phuket woman found hanged by the neck in her Thalang home on Sunday morning.

Thalang Duty Officer Pratueng Polmana identified the deceased as 58-year-old Thitima Boonrueng, a resident of the Baan Suan Neramit 1 housing estate off Route 4027 in Pa Khlok.

Relatives discovered Ms Thitima's body hanged by the neck by a plastic cord attached to a window fixture in her bedroom.

The relatives took down the body themselves before contacting Thalang Police.

Relatives told police that Ms Thitima had trouble walking and suffered from a variety of serious medical conditions, including a blood clotting disorder that left parts of her body covered in large, open lesions.

Police accept her relatives' belief that Ms Thitima took her own life to end her suffering.

Kusoldharm Foundation workers transported the body to Thalang Hospital for further examination and storage while relatives arrange funeral services.
