We Have A Funny Kitty Thread, Why Not Funny Dog Thread?

Featured Replies

I am both a dog person and a cat person. Each offers their own unique and lovable companionship and I loved my cat (Lizzie, RIP) and my dogs equally. Although Lizzie was the only one allowed to sleep on the bed :)

So, in honor of all my lovely doggies over the years. A dog thread!

I agree.

A pooch thread is good.

But can you get a puppy to roll around on a tortoise?!!

Or would he want to!!!

No dogs on the bed? You don't know what you're missing. Oh how I wish I could wake up again with one of those liver like mouth flaps draped on my cheek.

Oh dear. You don't know what you've started

I'm not sure what the dogs think of these outfits, but they are funny.

However, the funniest thing I saw i didn't get a photo of. My friend Nong adopted a group of soi dogs that she feeds, but they live wild in the street. The alpha male has been surviving on its own for at least 5 years, but when we had that cold spell last March, Nong thought she would put a shirt on the dog to keep it warm. It is astonishing that a wild soi dog would trust Nong enough to put clothes on him, but he did. But, he sure didn't like it. You never saw a more embarrassed dog in your life. He was walking backwards trying to get out of the clothes. It took some convincing on my part to take the shirt off the poor dog. I have video of the process, but no still photos.

You can get a clip off the video using video editors Ian, won't necessarily be a fantastically clear photo, but it is doable

Or just play the video on your computer, press pause at the appropriate frame and print-screen, paste to paint, crop and save.

Those were great, PoorSucker. It's odd, but dogs do seem to take on the attributes of their owners...

Or is it the other way around.

I have a hunting buddy who has a Lab called "Benny". Benny thinks she's a "people" and always tries to sit upright and right beside us... even when there is no room.

When the person taking this picture said, 'Smile for the camera,' they probably weren't expecting the dog to flash its gnashers too.

But thanks to his unexpected human-like expression of happiness, this chirpy canine has become an internet sensation.

The gleeful dog, pictured grinning ear to ear with his smiling owner, is now something of a star after his picture began being shared on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

I call your smiling doggie and raise you one dancing chihuahua

Thanks SB, that's the best laugh I've had for days..... he would get so many sweeties and pedigree bic bics if he were mine.

I'm going to watch that again now.

Adorable!

Agreed. It looks like they picked out a suitable beat of Mexican music to suit the little dog's dance steps. He seems to be in rhythm

There are lots of dog subjects you can photograph in Thailand. The opportunities are endless.

This guy is one of my friends, but he still barks at me if his owner comes home while I'm still there... just to show he is on the "job"
