Electronics Equipment & Supplies In Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'd like to find a place that sells electronics products like soldering irons, resistors, capacitors, breadboards, IC chips, etc. I've got some DIY engineering projects I'm working on. Does anybody know of any places in Chiang Mai that do this? Alternatively, are there any places you use online that can deliver to Thailand without ridiculous shipping costs? Thanks in advance.

Electronics Source http://www.es.co.th/ , NPE http://www.mynpe.com/ and Futurlec http://www.futurlec.com/ are worth a look for online supply if you fail to find what you need locally.

Is there a local branch of Amorn, they tend to have basic electronics stuff?

There's a few "mom&pops" that have it in town, but probably easier to find one of the Amorn shops. There is on connected to Icon computer plaza, one inside the big C/homepro center hangdong, and another at the bigC/hompro Super highway. They should have just about everything you need.

As has been said, Amorn do sell the basic stuff, their main outlet is Icon square which is about 350m east along the moat from Chiang Mai Ram hospital. They also have outlets in what used to be Carrefour on the superhighway and in Big C on the Hangdong Road.

Awesome, thank you for the replies. I'll probably check out Amorn to start and if not I have more than enough leads now. Can't wait to start some honest to God engineering. Now if only I could find a place to manufacture my finished product.... just kidding... but seriously :)
