The problem is not just Tuk Tuk or jet skies it is the police in Phuket who turn a blind eye on many things and the local traders know that they will be backed by the corrupt police..

I guess I have only this to say about these scams. That is -"If you can't tell when you are being scammed then stay away". Yea know everybody knows about this type of activity and no onee does anything about - to try to stop it. The government needs to do someting. But don't ask the police they won't and can't do anything. The best thing to do is stay AWAY! So have fun.

Maybe the chief of police and the governor own some of these tuk tuks and jet skies who knows that's why it is still happening

Don't know if they own any, but for sure they get a cut from the profits.

Therein lays the big problem. If those who can dramatically reduce scams are benifiting from them, then nothing will ever happen and life as we know it will go on.

Back to the core of this topic, it's the Australians, who should defend, and protect it's citizens, so Mr. Rudd, what about it? Ban the new MIRACLE THAILAND campaign from airing!!! or put subtitles on it, people traveling to Thailand be warned, this commercial is misleading!

Watch this before you make a whimpy decision and remember the citizens who died to protect it! .

If a foriegn government is aware of the pitfalls and potential risks to it's citizens travelling abroad then it has a responsibility to warn then....

Some do:

Doesn't seem to help much though.
