Good Thai Language Teacher - Chiang Rai

Featured Replies

Hello there

Just wondering if anyone knows a good Thai teacher here in Chiang Rai???

Thanks

Laura

I don't know about a teacher (I just rely on my friends, work colleagues and students for feedback/help - after they've stopped laughing laugh.gif), but I found this site a few days ago and it seems pretty good as a reference to hear the correct pronunciation.

You can also hide the Romanised pronunciation if you want to use it to practice reading Thai (which I plan on doing in the near future)

HTH,

Rich

You could try the YMCA City Centre. PM me if you need more details.

What level and amount of time etc are you looking for? I might be able to recommend a few but need more info to see if they would be interested. Don't want to waste your or their time.

Thanks for those responses... i ended up finding someone to teach me, so plan to give that a whirl first.

Rich - cheers for the web site, will check it out.

Pom chop - will let you know if it doesn't work out where I am. Time wise - depends entirely on price... and my level is 'beginner' although i have had quite a bit of practice, so got an understanding of the language and a fair bit of vocab.

harry - will keep ymca in mind too.

cheers again.

ok good luck.. I know several delightful 50 y.o. type Thai ladies who are english teachers in CR high school and i suspect you could arrange some lessons with them in late pm or early evening for not too much baht...they are not actively looking for students but would probably be interested......anyway...i can introduce you to them and you can discuss price/needs etc direct with them should your current deal not work out...
