Camera Service

Featured Replies

My old SLR seems to be a bit " tiered " maybe the humidity has got into the lense and the dust in the buttons.

Anyone know of a shop which will give it a thorough clean and service for a reasonable cost.

Richard

Think you will be struggling with this one Richard, pre-digital cameras - there really were no camera shops in town?

Cheers

there is a shop on the ground floor of mah boon krong shopping mall. they deal in 35mm more than digital.

the shop is called photo file. its on the "road" side of the mall , the same side as the banks that open out onto the street.

they have good technicians there , they will be able to sort out your slr for you , i'm pretty sure.they have another shop on the second or third floor also.

if your camera is a nikon there is a nikon service centre at 166 tanon silom , soi 12 , (235-2929,30-34)

sorry , i've just noticed that you are in pattaya , not bangkok

Endorse Fotofile as the place to go. Very friendly and helpful staff, worth a trip up to Bangkok! And yes they have a shop on the third floor as well as the ground floor.

If you're in Bangkok there is a real good camera repair shop located on the corner of Sukumvit Soi 8. (Actually a couple doors down from Soi 8 going towards Soi 6). They specialize in old cameras. I don't recall the name of the shop but they have been there for many years.

Canon have a service centre in Tuk Com in Sri Racha.

Another alternative is also in Sri Racha.

Coming from Pattaya turn left at the next turn after the Tuk Com lights.

About 2/3 of the way down that road is photo shop on the left, with a large

Kodak sign.

They are knowledgable and can get your camera serviced, but it will have to go

to Bangkok. They had a lens stripped and cleaned for me. Cost 2000 baht,

far cheaper than a new one.
