I was looking into getting a mazda 2 (base model). I thought about sound systems and came across the zulex product - it seems to do everything and looks similar to the product installed in the top model mazda 2, though I'm not sure what brand they are using for it. I understand zulex is made in China so would be interested in hearing opinions of anyone who has used this brand. The one I saw on the net was about 17K for the head unit - large screen, dvd, usb, bluetooth support, etc. Personally I'l be a little wary of it, and would pay 5-10K (or more??) more for a better brand name unit. Anyway, it looks fine in the pics I've seen and they use a new plastic surround, so it looks like a factory fit.

Never tried it myself, but from friends' reports the interface is horrid, slow and not user-friendly. It does do a lot of things, but you get what you pay for.

I often use the Zulex systems in some of our tuk tuks we export and never had any problems, this includes the Head unit and the Various size TV monitor drop down screens.
