Ram Hospital Khon Kaen

Featured Replies

Looking for some info on the Ram Hospital in khon Kaen. I needs some tooth fillings to be redone and I need a new pair of glasses. I am about 1 hour from Khon Kaen - around

here is only Top Charoen of which I have heard mixed reviews. I have to go to Khon Kaen for the Queen Sirikit Heart Hosp and for Immigrations and I read earlier that the

Ram was probably the best in the area for teeth. I assume the do some regular dental work. They only list an Eye Dept - I don't know if they do regular eye work - are they good

and are they reasonable on both . I found the Queen Sirikit reasonable after they nailed me for $9K US for the heart operation. Can't complain - I read it usually cost aroun $20-30K in US.

I live outside of Maha Salkham. Thanks

No specific information but believe most hospitals have good dental departments. As for eyes have mixed opinions as most are full doctors only and designed for eye treatment rather than optical prescriptions. Doctors can do but always get the feeling they seem to be turned off by it. For glasses have had good luck using mail order from zenni. If using local chain try to bargain as they seem to be way overpriced.

Follow the above link and you'll find Prajak Optical, owned by a guy who speaks perfect English and very good, reasonable price.

Walk up the same side of the road just before the Krung thai bank you'll find a good dentist. Ask for Mor Anun, who speaks English, if you can't speak Thai.

Baan Mor Fun - 043-239826

Ram is ridiculously over-priced.
