Just driven down today, no problems at all.

I arrive in BKK from the UK on Friday, was hoping to drive from BKK to Khon Kaen. Im pleased you had no problems driving down. I usually go on highway 1 and Highway 2, is this the route you had no problems with?

Yes that is the route and then onto the eastern ring road to Bangna.
