Surgery In Thailand

Featured Replies

Has anybody here had a knee joint replacement operation in Bangkok.

Personally, I would look at getting it done in India. I have a knee that will eventually need a replacement (unless cartilage grafts are improved) and when I investigated I felt India was the best place in the region to do it as they have specialty clinics and surgeons with a lot of experience.

In my opinion I would be most concerned with the experience of the surgeon and the facility second. I think experience is essential with all the different sizing of implants, types of implants and individual situations often calling for split second decisions when on the table.

A number of TV members have, usually with good results.

Dr. Mason and Dr. Panya at Bumrungrad are the two ortho surgeons most often recommended for knee surgery. i assume they do replacements but not 100% certain.

It won't be cheap, though.
